    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

    New student registration for the 2023-2024 school year will begin February 1, 2023.

    Students who are new to Edmonton Public Schools need to submit a completed Student Registration form. Find the form and list of supporting documents you need to provide.

    CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL IN SCHOOLZONE

    Whether your child is staying at the same school or changing schools, all students need to pre-enrol. Knowing how many students to expect helps schools prepare to welcome them in September.

    Transportation

    Yellow Bus Service is available for families who live within the Rio Terrace transportation boundary.

    To view the area in which the bus service covers.

    1. Click here, https://epsb.ca/schools/rioterrace/
    2. Click on “ATTENDANCE AREA MAPS” under the school count
    3. Select the box or boxes in the “BUS SERVICE (2022-2023)” area

    CURRENT YELLOW BUS RIDERS

    If your child rides the yellow bus, you can apply for continued service to their current school in SchoolZone no later than June 1, 2022

    When you sign in to your parent SchoolZone account: 

    • go to the Student Profile tab 
    • choose Transportation 
    • select Bus Application
    • follow instructions to apply for yellow bus service for next year and make sure to update your contact information

    Parents new to Rio Terrace will receive their SchoolZone login and password information the first week of September.

    When you login into SchoolZone, you will be able to access your child’s bus number, route information as well as pickup and drop off time information.

    Parents can track the location of the bus through SchoolZone, under the Transportation page, then clicking on the “Where’s my Bus” tool.

    If a bus is running late or is canceled, parents will be notified by email from the Student Transportation department.

    Students Riding Yellow Bus

    Students are expected to display good conduct and safety at all times while riding on a yellow bus. Students who choose not to observe behavior expectations may lose the privilege of yellow bus transportation to school. Students must have a valid bus pass in their possession when riding the bus.

    Pick Up Of Students

    The office must be notified when a student is not taking the bus home.

    Please contact the school office no later than 2:30 pm on Mon., Tue., Wed., Fri., and 1:00 pm Thurs.

  • School Supply Lists

    School Supply Lists

    Rio Terrace works with a company called Write-on Stationery to provide parents the option to purchase a school specific supply package for their child. Order online before June 1, 2022 and have your package delivered to Rio in June so that students can take their packages home and label them over the summer. They also accept orders throughout the summer for pickup in late August or home delivery. Please see the instructions below.

    • Choose your grade and place your order.
    • Complete your order by clicking ‘PLACE ORDER’
    • You will receive an automatic email confirmation to confirm your order has been received
    • VISA, MC, AMEX, Visa Debit and Interac On-line are accepted.
