Literacy has expanded beyond the traditional trio of reading, writing, and arithmetic. To achieve 21st century literacy, Rio Terrace students are developing a new set of skills: innovation, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, initiative, productivity, and responsibility.

The foundation of 21 century literacy is promoting self directed learners. Students who can think critically, problem solve, collaborate, and act creatively.

All Rio Terrace students are academically and culturally enriched through learning in either our French Immersion or German Bilingual program
