Rio Terrace School offers both a French Immersion and German Bilingual program in a small school environment, Kindergarten to Grade 6.

We serve a vibrant, extended west end community. Staff, students, parents and community work in partnership to provide challenging learning experiences in a safe and caring environment.

The programs at Rio Terrace are designed to prepare our students for the 21st century by:

• Offering second-language learning in two languages: French or German
• Focusing on academic excellence and student leadership.
• Actively engaging students in their learning, with a focus on developing 21st century literacy skills such as creativity, innovation, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, initiative, productivity, and responsibility.
• Integrating Steven Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into our curriculum to provide students with skills and opportunities to develop their leadership skills.

Yellow Bus Service is available for our students, and is free of charge for kindergarten students. Contact our office for more information.
