  • Student Registration

    Student Registration

Student registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens February 1, 2024.

Students who are new to Edmonton Public Schools need to submit a completed Student Registration form. Check out the EPSB website to find the form and a list of documents you'll need to provide.

Current Division students must pre-enrol in SchoolZone.

Whether your child is staying at the same school or changing schools, all students need to pre-enrol. Knowing how many students to expect helps schools prepare to welcome them in September.

Moved? Update your child’s current address with the school office before pre-enrolling in SchoolZone.

Bienvenue Welcome Willkommen

Successful language learning for everyone!

At École Rio Terrace Schule we inspire students to be successful through high quality German and French learning opportunities supported by families and the community. We offer both a French Immersion and a German Bilingual program in a small school environment, Kindergarten to Grade 6. We are proud of our school, students, staff and community!

Principal's Message

Dear Parents & Guardians,

At Rio Terrace we are proud of our German Bilingual and French Immersion programs. Our teaching staff create meaningful and engaging learning experiences that build conceptual understandings across the curriculum. Staff work collaboratively as a team and utilize an endless combination of individual and group work while purposefully integrating technology into the school day. We are committed to providing support for all students. We use innovative and adaptive teaching to foster a sense of curiosity and wonder. We strongly believe that it is important to actively build relationships with the children at the school and with the families we serve. Most importantly, we empower our students to make effective personal decisions by giving them authentic leadership opportunities whenever possible. At Rio Terrace we use the following keystone ideas to support our students with building core curricular competencies:

Responsibility; Integrity; Opportunity; Courage; Assertiveness; Resilience; Empathy; and Stamina

Sincerely,

Andrew Lummis
Principal
